“0 migrants in Calais” sounds like an advertising slogan. Behind the façade, the violence of the border situation continues. Johnsina, 20, from Ethiopia, died last Saturday January 21st around 8 am, crushed on the highway by several trucks. He is the first known death at the British border since the beginning of this new year during which we will again tell of those who have died at the border. Seventeen people died there in 2016. It’s not a body count, it’s always a person who’s dead.
A solidarity gathering was held yesterday in Calais, as after every death.
